Mr. Moise has been the president of Jackson Financial Services since July 2004 and is the managing editor of the Jackson Letter. From January 1999 to July 2004, he was a Manager of Financial Services for Prudential Financial. Prior to that, he was a financial planner for American Express Financial Advisors and a Project Manager for Carolina Engineering. He is a Certified Financial Planner ® (CFP). He has also earned the Accredited Estate Planner (AEP), Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor (CMFC) and Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) and Accredited Wealth Management Advisor (AWMA) designations, as well as a Master’s in Finance. Mason is an avid athlete and mountaineer who enjoys spending time on the water with wife Anne and children Mason, Elizabeth, and Andrew.
Sarah has worked with us since January 2005 and is a Certified Financial Planner ® (CFP). Sarah assists our client families with financial education topics and account management, as well as serving as a liaison with third party plan administrators, custodians, and money managers on behalf of Jackson Financial Services.
Irina joined our team in July 2012. She is responsible for our portfolio management and reporting software. In 2012 Irina graduated cum laude from the Citadel School of Business with MBA in Finance. She has earned the Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor (CMFC) designation and passed all three levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst ® (CFA) program, gaining her charter in June 2016.
Betty is a longtime employee of Jackson Financial and serves as bookkeeper for the firm, as well as maintaining subscriber records for the Jackson Letter. She is semi-retired and enjoys spending time watching her grandchildren play sports when not keeping the books for us.
The Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation requires that the holder meet educational, examination, experience and ethics requirements. CFP planners must first complete an extensive financial planning curriculum including tax, estate, retirement and investment planning . Additionally, they must pass a 10-hour comprehensive exam, in addition to a two year apprenticeship under the supervision of a practicing CFP. Ongoing continuing education is required to maintain the CFP designation.
The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is granted by the CFA Institute. Charterholders have completed a rigorous program of study that includes emphasis on quantitative analysis, economics, corporate finance, security analysis and portfolio management. CFA’s must pass three comprehensive exams in addition to completing four years of qualified work experience to receive the CFA certification.
